Property Inheritance Laws Islamabad & Lahore

Family and inheritance law will save you from disputes and must be observed when the time comes. A succession is the process of settling a deceased person's estate and allocating the property to those who inherit after the debts are paid; the term "succession" can also refer to the estate of a person who passes away. In contrast, inheritance laws are statutes and regulations that specify how individuals receive assets from the estate of a deceased family member. These laws guarantee that beneficiaries can obtain some sort of inheritance if a will was never written or does not cover all of the deceased person's assets.

Property Inheritance Law In Pakistan

Pakistan, a Muslim-majority nation, enforces the Islamic law of inheritance through its constitution, which stipulates that Islamic law will rule all national laws. The courts apply the customary Islamic laws of inheritance by the various Muslim sects where there is no general code or legislation on the subject. As of right now, the only laws in Pakistan that address inheritance and succession are the Succession Act of 1925 and Section 4 of the Muslim Family Law Ordinance 1961.
